Tonite we turn our clocks back. The amount of daylight will be short and precious. I love this time of year, a time of settling in, slowing down and reconnecting.
As some of you may already know, my life is not my own. I share it with my husband of seventeen years and our three boys.
This is the time of year when our crazy baseball schedule is slowing down, now limited to a few indoor tournaments and practices. The boys still keep me on my toes with other activities and their social schedules, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I have been stalking reading and following many of your blogs for quite some time now. Talented, creative, inspirational, generous and supportive - that's how I have found the stitching community. With the turning of the clocks, I will turn a new leaf and start sharing more of my life through this blog. Some of you have helped this along with your poking, prodding and encouragement! Thank you for that - I think.....
When I do find time just for myself, I can usually be found stitching, reading, or digging in my gardens. More about all that will come in time.
Please bear with me while I settle in and try to get a handle on writing my own blog. Hopefully, those who find me will stay and join me on my journey! I can't promise that I will write every day, or even every week, but I will try my best to make it interesting for you when I do write!
Thanks for stopping by!
Catherine

So nice to see you here, Catherine, and I love your blog name! I'm so slow at blogging right now..too much I want and need to do!
Welcome to blog land. Looking forward to seeing all your work.
Welcome, dear friend, to an amazing journey of self-discovery. I have a bit of advice for you as you begin your journey...and, as with all things, you can take it or leave it...but I a few things i've learned from the three years of blogging...
1. Most importantly, be true to yourself. Don't be intimidated by other blogs...don't try to be like someone else. Just be you. Your a beautiful writer. I had no idea you had three boys...I'm already intrigued. Let the journey begin.
2. Decide what you are NOT. I decided that my blog was NOT for my audience. I wouldn't apologize for not posting or for talking about my family...This may sound a bit "proud" but I love my own blog. It's my space for me to record my journey. I just happen to share it with others and love having friends that want to share life with me through my blog.
3. Have fun. It shouldn't be a chore. If it is, then it isn't right is it...It may take a while to find your voice but it's there. My blog posts today are very different from my very first ones... I can't wait to get to know you, your family and your pursuits!!!
Welcome aboard!!!!!
I'm looking forward to reading...and seeing your stitching.
