One Year.....

After our crazy snowstorm, we did have a fairly mild night for Halloween.
The little guy scraping and scraping.  We also had to harvest the seeds and roast them per his request.
We reused, borrowed and made our own costumes.  Anakin from Star Wars, a devil, and just a plain old box.  As for the box, his head was outside of the box, thus he wrote on the sides of the box, "Think Outside the Box".  Creative and not an expensive costume (unless you count the things I ordered from Kohls in order to get a box).  I told him he should introduce himself as Jack.  Jack in the Box.  He didn't think that was funny.
We only did one Jack-O-Lantern this year.  Each of the boys drew a face and we picked what we all liked best from each picture.

I've done some stitching, some I can show and some I can't (it's for an exchange).  The first one is from an older JCS ornament issue.  Thanks to Ranae, I was able to get this picture turned around!

And here is another look at Heartstring Samplery's "Sing We Merrily".  I'm really enjoying this one.

Now to the title of my post.  It was one year ago yesterday, the 6th, that I started this journey.  I want to have a giveaway, and I want to make it personal for the winner.  So, if you'd like a chance at something - not sure exactly what yet - let me know in your comments.  I'll pick a winner on the 20th.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my newest followers!

Of course I'd like a chance to win! Happy blogiversary!

You know around us, they actually cancelled or postponed Halloween in some towns? lol! Like people would know! We had so few trick or treaters it was sad. So many still without power in the neighborhood.

Love your stitching! That Peace one is so pretty. And Sing We Merrily -- very nice!

Boy, do those Halloween photos bring back memories! I think that was my favorite day with the guys other than Christmas morning... Their pumpkin turned out great--really original and fun! Glad that snow left you alone on Halloween...ours was rainy and miserable, but we still managed to get an all-time high number of treaters (18!!).

Nice WIPs and congratulations on your one year blogoversary--how time flies!! I'd love to be part of your giveaway drawing :)

I kind of miss those trick or treating times with my children. :)
Your children are adorable all dressed up and that Jack-O-Lantern is pretty fancy. My pictures have disappeared, turned around etc. and my son usually figures out how to fix it. :) I LOVE Heartstring Samplery, and your Sing We Merrily is looking beautiful! Happy blogiversary!!

Catherine, congrats on reaching your first anniversary! I'd love to be entered in your giveaway! Your boys look wonderful and I love the pumpkin.

Love the boys' costumes - we were very un-original and went for two little pumpkins (again) this year! There's still some room for growing in the costumes so guess what they'll be next year too?!
Your pumpkin looks very cheeky. Mine is still outside the front door, I can't bear to bring it in as it means Halloween is definitely over for another year!
Wow, a year blogging already? Where does the time go?
I'd love to be included in your giveaway Catherine.

I remember Jack was a box one year. He was in a washing machine box so he could fit inside the whole thing...ring the doorbell and squat so it looked like there was just a box on the porch....then a trap door would open so his hand could get the loot and off the box would run to the next house.

I loved the think outside the box idea...and the winking Jack o lantern...those boys are too cute, and I can tell you're really enjoying them.
