Happy Easter

A quick post before taking off to enjoy the Easter weekend.
I have decided to chose yet another stocking for my April ornament.
I figure, why not, I am on a roll!  Then I can just do the finishing on all of them at the same time.

I received my package from my Stitched With Love Exchange partner the other day.  I can't wait until the reveal so I can share all the goodies with you.  My partner truly knows how to put together a great package!

The boys are off this week and I am recovering from a nasty cold, so not much stitching has been going on.  Here are a few of my things from years past.

We did get a little yard work done in between baseball practices.
Here are the younger two discussing the strawberry plants.
The yard is finally green and growing!
We have had a robin's nest at the top of a pillar on our front porch for a number of seasons now.  This year, a new bird decided to add a smaller nest on top and take up residence.
Fun to watch, but definitely not the cleanest bird!
And these buds,
now look like this..
This is one of my favorite shrubs, it smells so wonderful.
A few more springtime favorites..
These buds will soon be filling the air with their wonderful smell..
I hope you all find time to enjoy the colors, scents and sounds of the season.
May the joys of spring fill your hearts this Easter weekend.
“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
"Winter is dead.”
― A.A. Milne, When We Were Very Young

Hope that cold goes away soon -- not fun! My DS is off this week as well. Never as much gets done when the kids are home, right? I like what you picked for your next ornie. Nice to see your stitching from the past too. Such industrious boys you have!

I love your Easter decorations Catherine. I've been very lazy again this year and didn't buy an Easter tree for my newly acquired decorations to hang on!
The photos from your garden make me feel Spring is definitely here. My favourite plant is the dicentra - we have lots of them in our garden - they seem to survive even the harshest of winters and come back year on year.
Have a lovely Easter with your family. XXX

Such a lovely post Catherine, love your April ornament chart. The one I have ready is a french black and white chart so I won't show until the end of the month.
Love all your Easter ornaments, and your garden photos looks to me that Spring has sprung in your house.
Cute bird. Your boys look so helpful and so much fun bless them.
That bush you have we have the same one it smells so nice. Happy Easter, hugs.

Oh, I miss my boys helping in the yard! It is all falling on us now and I realize how much we relied on them to pitch in!!

Your bowl of Easter smalls is adorable, Catherine. I've been working on some of my own lately--just can't seem to stop stitching all those little bunnies.

I do hope you feel better very soon--things are too pretty this time of year to be stuck inside with a cold.

Happy Easter, my friend!

Having a cold is just the pits. Hope you feel better soon!

Ah yes, yard work. Did mine yesterday and I'm now sneezing. Oh well. I do love spring though.

I hope you are fully recovered and enjoyed Easter.

I hope you were fully recovered and able to enjoy Easter to the fullest! Love the pics of the bird in the nest. We have some birds building a nest in an air vent (the Irish answer to air conditioning). It's high up, so we haven't been able to see what kind it is, but they sure are loud! LOL
