Time...

Time seems to be passing faster and faster!  December saw the restart of baseball practice for the boys.  My oldest is also trying out for the school basketball team and has made the first cut.  Then there is also the general hustle and bustle that comes with the Christmas season.  School Christmas events, concerts, shopping, decorating, etc...
My middle guy had his band concert this past week.
They sounded really good!  We'll be attending the orchestra concert for my oldest son later this week.

Needless to say, there has been little stitching.  I did manage to stitch this little freebie from Nikyscreations.
I am trying to get the freebie from iStitch designs stitched as well, but am not quite there yet.

The final tusal time has come and gone...there really isn't much difference in my jar..so, no new picture.

I have to give a very special thank you to my dear friend, June.  She sent this beautiful ornament for me along with some other goodies and I absolutely adore it!!
Thank you so much, June.  You are truly a treasure.

Treated myself to this mug from Heartstring Samplery.  The picture is from her design, "Baby It's Cold Outside".  I have that one on my ever growing list of charts I hope to one day stitch!!
This mug is perfect for my mommy hot chocolate!  Mommy hot chocolate has an extra special touch.
The hot chocolate is from our local Swiss chocolatier.  Another great option besides the cherry, is coconut rum.  Not a lot, just a touch is just right.

Around the house...

And I can't forget to add a few of my latest favorites of the puppy.  He turned nine months yesterday and recently weighed in at 127 pounds.
Nap time!!
Waiting for Santa...
Just trying to rest here..
Merry Christmas!!

I want to say how heavy my heart is for all those families in Newtown, CT.  I've been hugging my boys extra tight this weekend.

Your home looks beautiful. Your gifts and your stitching are great. Panzer is so sweet.♥

I cannot believe the latest developments in Newtown. It is pure evil. Oh how we need to pray!

Oh my goodness - I weigh 127lbs!!! Yikes. Puppy??? Lol!
I love how June finished 'FaLaLa' so unusual.
Your tree is absulutely stunning. I'd love to sit beside it and have a good old chat with you...of course I'd insist on one of your special hot chocolates too! ;0)
I can't even begin to imagine the horror of what happened in Newtown. I have to turn off the TV when the news comes on, it's too much for me to take in. Those beautiful children and heartbroken parents, so very sad.

Time does fly Catherine. It seems I blink and the day is gone. I always loved the Christmas concerts when my boys were in school. So heartwarming to see those littles playing their heart out. Lovely gift from June and your little ornie stitch is very cute. I just want to hug that big ole Panzer - such a handsome boy. Wishing you and your lovely family a magically blessed Christmas.

Wow, 127 pounds? Wow! He's a big guy! Such a sweet face. :D I give you warning on the band versus orchestra concerts. Orchestra tends to sound worse than band. :D After all, their instruments are harder. I think anyway. Glad you're enjoying the concert season. Good luck to your oldest with basketball. So how long does baseball go for? I can't believe they're starting practice again already!

I well remember the crazy-busy times when my boys were little at this time of year, Catherine--all the concerts and special events seemed to all be concentrated in those busiest two weeks right before Christmas!! But, treasure those times--they are gone in the blink of an eye.

I really love that mug you treated yourself to and June's ornament is adorable. It's shocking how big Panzer has gotten, but I'm sure he is just one big bundle of love.

Hope you all have a special holiday--hold those boys tight now. It is just so unbelievably sad about the sweet innocent souls lost in the Sandy Hook shootings...

Whew. You are always so crazy busy! And yet you still find time to stitch up the nicest little pieces. :)
She really outdid herself with that ornament - the finishing is AMAZING.
As always, I can never resist the 'puppy's face. What a character, that one.

Happy holidays! :)

I have always felt the same way - December has always seemed to be the fastest month of the year, particularly when my children were still living at home.
I love the pictures of your home which is so beautifully decorated. Have a great holiday.

How nice to peek into your beautiful home. The photo Waiting for Santa is like a Christmas card. Your puppy is no puppy anymore.

Time does go faster each year. I am looking forward to 2013 bringing me many more finished UFOs than 2012. I need to get on top of my projects.

May your new year be joy-filled and creative!
