Time seems to be passing faster and faster! December saw the restart of baseball practice for the boys. My oldest is also trying out for the school basketball team and has made the first cut. Then there is also the general hustle and bustle that comes with the Christmas season. School Christmas events, concerts, shopping, decorating, etc...
My middle guy had his band concert this past week.
They sounded really good! We'll be attending the orchestra concert for my oldest son later this week.
Needless to say, there has been little stitching. I did manage to stitch this little freebie from Nikyscreations.
I am trying to get the freebie from iStitch designs stitched as well, but am not quite there yet.
The final tusal time has come and gone...there really isn't much difference in my jar..so, no new picture.
I have to give a very special thank you to my dear friend, June. She sent this beautiful ornament for me along with some other goodies and I absolutely adore it!!
Thank you so much, June. You are truly a treasure.
Treated myself to this mug from Heartstring Samplery. The picture is from her design, "Baby It's Cold Outside". I have that one on my ever growing list of charts I hope to one day stitch!!
This mug is perfect for my mommy hot chocolate! Mommy hot chocolate has an extra special touch.
The hot chocolate is from our local Swiss chocolatier. Another great option besides the cherry, is coconut rum. Not a lot, just a touch is just right.
Around the house...
And I can't forget to add a few of my latest favorites of the puppy. He turned nine months yesterday and recently weighed in at 127 pounds.
Nap time!!
Waiting for Santa...
Just trying to rest here..
Merry Christmas!!
I want to say how heavy my heart is for all those families in Newtown, CT. I've been hugging my boys extra tight this weekend.

I cannot believe the latest developments in Newtown. It is pure evil. Oh how we need to pray!
Love how you've decorated your home. Your pup looks well behaved around the tree!
Your home looks so lovely.. Your gifts and your stitching are so wonderful ..
Panzer is so sweet....
Love cucki x
Oh my goodness - I weigh 127lbs!!! Yikes. Puppy??? Lol!
I love how June finished 'FaLaLa' so unusual.
Your tree is absulutely stunning. I'd love to sit beside it and have a good old chat with you...of course I'd insist on one of your special hot chocolates too! ;0)
I can't even begin to imagine the horror of what happened in Newtown. I have to turn off the TV when the news comes on, it's too much for me to take in. Those beautiful children and heartbroken parents, so very sad.
I absolutely love the way June finished Fa La la, gorgeous! Love the mug and the "kick"for hot chocolate.
Time does fly Catherine. It seems I blink and the day is gone. I always loved the Christmas concerts when my boys were in school. So heartwarming to see those littles playing their heart out. Lovely gift from June and your little ornie stitch is very cute. I just want to hug that big ole Panzer - such a handsome boy. Wishing you and your lovely family a magically blessed Christmas.
Faster and faster the years go by :) I
love your mug, Catherine, what a beautiful idea...and that mommy cocoa looks delicious as well ;)
Your ornie treats are gorgeous both given and received, and Panzer, himself is just too adorable for words.
Hugs to you and all

Cozy holiday decorations. Loving your grown up hot chocolate....I like peppermint schnapps in mine. Warms you right to the core. Panzer is just as cute and adorable, what a lucky pooch to have those boys for best friends. :)
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Everything looks so beautiful and your dog is so photogenic! Christmas with kids is so nice despite how busy we get.

Love your Christmas decorations. Very pretty. That ornament you received is very pretty too. Your puppy doesn't look like a puppy anymore. LOL He's too cute.
Happy Holidays :)

Wow, 127 pounds? Wow! He's a big guy! Such a sweet face. :D I give you warning on the band versus orchestra concerts. Orchestra tends to sound worse than band. :D After all, their instruments are harder. I think anyway. Glad you're enjoying the concert season. Good luck to your oldest with basketball. So how long does baseball go for? I can't believe they're starting practice again already!
The house looks wonderful! I will be trying some momma hot chocolate. I like the idea of the cherry liqueur.
cooooo lots to catch up on .. lovely gifts ... well done to the boys and just be glad it isn't a violin he is learning heheheh
panzer is soooooo cute love him looking for santa paws :))))
gorgeous wee ornament from June too and love that mug for those special mummy hot chocolate ;)

Where ever did you find the mug? I love the shots of the house. Nicely decorated. I agree about hugging the kids more. My son kept hugging me all weekend too.
What a lovely post.
Your decorations are wonderful. Love the mug.
Panzer is growing even more.
Tell the boys well done, hugs.
Panzer is so sweet!
Lovely decorating! Beautiful ornament and stitching, too. Congrats to your son on making the first cut for the basketball team!
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!! Your house looks ready!
I well remember the crazy-busy times when my boys were little at this time of year, Catherine--all the concerts and special events seemed to all be concentrated in those busiest two weeks right before Christmas!! But, treasure those times--they are gone in the blink of an eye.
I really love that mug you treated yourself to and June's ornament is adorable. It's shocking how big Panzer has gotten, but I'm sure he is just one big bundle of love.
Hope you all have a special holiday--hold those boys tight now. It is just so unbelievably sad about the sweet innocent souls lost in the Sandy Hook shootings...
Whew. You are always so crazy busy! And yet you still find time to stitch up the nicest little pieces. :)
She really outdid herself with that ornament - the finishing is AMAZING.
As always, I can never resist the 'puppy's face. What a character, that one.
Happy holidays! :)
I have always felt the same way - December has always seemed to be the fastest month of the year, particularly when my children were still living at home.
I love the pictures of your home which is so beautifully decorated. Have a great holiday.
Love your decorations and new mug for mommy hot chocolate. I thought that was so funny! Panzer is huge and gorgeous. Love how the boys snuggle up to him. The ornie you received for June is beautiful! Have a wonderful Christmas Catherine! :)
Love the ornament that June sent to you. Your tree is gorgeous and so tall! The boys look so happy with their "puppy" and he looks so happy with them too :)
Have a wonderful Christmas!
I appreciate you sharing your life with me through this blog over the past year, Catherine.
I hope 2013 is a happy one for you and your family!
Love your Christmas tree and the pics of your boys and puppy. I didn't know that you could buy such lovely mugs from Heartstring Samplery. It is lovely and I like your Mommy hot chocolate.
What a gorgeous post. I love that mug too but can't get it here in uk. Such a shame. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Xx
Merry Merry, with a cherry on top!
Merry Christmas Catherine to you and your family! Lovely pillow from June! That chocolate looks delish along with the cherry liqueur!! Love your photos!
Love all your decor, one of my favorite things is hot cocoa also! Love the mug :)

Happy New Year!
Louise
Lovely holiday photographs! I feel certain that you enjoyed a splendid Christmas, and I with you and your loved ones much joy in the new year!
Thank you ever so kindly for popping by my wee patch, and for slipping a sweet message under my door.
Ever warmly,
Judy
How nice to peek into your beautiful home. The photo Waiting for Santa is like a Christmas card. Your puppy is no puppy anymore.
Time does go faster each year. I am looking forward to 2013 bringing me many more finished UFOs than 2012. I need to get on top of my projects.
May your new year be joy-filled and creative!
Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi
Ah, I remember those choral and orchestra performances - seemed to bring on the Christmas spirit. Your Mommy's Chocolate looks delicious - perfect for the pretty mug. Your home looks warm and lovely, too. And that puppy face. Just precious!
