Where does one start?  My posts have been few and far between ~ by the time I sit down to write, it takes me some time to organize my thoughts.  Let's see....
The last month has been filled with, yep, you guessed it, baseball practices.  There has been a round or two of nasty germs.  And crazy weather...warm in the 60's one day and below freezing another.  The most recent storm, Nemo, brought us only rain ~ ending in a touch of snow ~ but not ending before trying to blow us away with it's wicked winds.  The boys are still waiting on one decent snow storm and then I think we are all ready for spring.

We celebrated a milestone birthday ~ I am finally a mother to a teenage boy.  Wish me luck!

We added some more eyes!

And Panzer weighed in this week at 132.2 lbs!  He'll be 11months on the 15th.
And, he thinks he is a lap dog!
So glad to have this guy in our lives.

Now for some stitchy stuff!  Here is the tusal for the month.  It is an illusion, don't think I have done major stitching...the jar is laying on it's side, so the threads spread out.  Also, a good number of those threads are from having to take out a number of stitches on more than one project.  January seemed to be the month of the frogs ~ hopefully they have all moved on now.

I finished the stitching on a couple of ornaments.

Finished "My Ways"
There was supposed to be an apple, but an apple under a willow tree just didn't seem right.  So, I stitched Panzer there instead.  Many thanks to Peggy Lee for sending me the fabric for this!
I've moved on to this piece..."A Pomegranate Study"
Such a fun stitch so far ~ just three colors!
I have to ask...have you ever had one of these join you while stitching?
He decided to take up residence on the inside of my glasses while they were on my head!!  Needless to say, he took a trip down the waterways to look for Nemo (the fish, not the storm)!  The worst part was that I couldn't scream out, everyone else was sound asleep!!

Have you ever had one of those weeks, and then, you go to the mailbox to find the best things ever ~ just when you needed a pick~me~up!?!
Myra was sweet enough to surprise me with one of her Valentine's mug mats ~ how cute is that!
Thank you, Myra!  Whenever I see your name on a package, I know I am in for a treat!

Dawn surprised me with this great bag ~ she's been practicing with her sewing machine, and I'd say she's got it down!
Thanks, Dawn ~ it's already full of stuff!

I have some goodies that will be going out tomorrow, but I have to save those pictures ~ don't want to spoil any surprises.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks again to those that brightened my week!

Happy it made it to you! I can't believe how big Panzer is, Chloe will be a year this week and is 58 pounds. He looks like he outweighs your son! I love the pomegranate piece, may have to look for that one soon.
Shall I make you a larger bag? I can make them wider to accomadate more stitchy stuff!

Nemo was quite a storm... left us with 18" of the white stuff. The wind was the worst part of the storm. Lovely gifts you received. All of your projects are wonderful. No "crawlies" or "flyers" for me. I don't like bugs! Good luck with your teenager. I am sure that he is a good young man and will not give you any problems. Have a good week.

Happy Birthday to your oldest son, Catherine! I still remember when my oldest son turned 13 and how hard it was to believe... You're in for some real ups and downs during their teen years :) So sorry the germs have hit you, too--and the stinkbugs... EEK--I hate those things! And yes, they've dropped down on me from my Ott light from time to time :)

Love all your stitching--that is great that you're finding some time for yourself amidst all the boys' activities...

If Panzer grows any bigger, you'll have to add an addition on to your house--wow!! Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your guys, Catherine :)

Happy Birthday to the teenager! Enjoy the teenage years. I hear that boys are easier than girls.

We've had the stink bugs all winter along with the box elder bugs. I hate them!

Stitching looks great too!

Happy Mother of a Teenager! It has it moments but overall, it's still a good thing. You've had a busy month. You're stitching some cute projects and Panzer looks quite regal.

I always enjoy reading your posts.
A teenager? Wow. Good luck. :)
I think that dog has some horse somewhere back in the family tree. My goodness!
Your My Ways is beautiful, and you're very welcome my friend.
I'm afraid if that bug would have landed anywhere near me, the neighbors would have heard me and I would have had to change my pants! I hate those things.
It is always fun to get surprises in the mail. Sweet.

Lovely newsy post Catherine and great pics, especially Panzer playing at being a lap dog!
Those teenage years are okay, my twin boys seemed to turn into adults overnight and now are their own individuals and are great for a good chat and love to be independent (except when it comes to washing and ironing!)
Lovely stitching and gorgeous gifts.
Have a good week xxx

Happy Birthday to your son. Your other son is handsome in those glasses.

What a big dog. He is adorable. I'm sure he is loveable as well. What a great companion.

Your jar has floss and that is important.

Your ornaments are beautiful. I love your rendition of using your dog for My Ways. Cute!

What awesome gifts from Myra and Dawn.

Happy Stitching!

Happy birthday to your son! Enjoy the teenage years. As a Mom of 2 boys (now in their 20s) those were not difficult years...maybe it's harder with girls (?)

Ewww, that lens critter would have had me jumpin'

Nice start on A Pomegranate Study.

Lovely gifts from your generous friends.

Love all your stitching you have been a busy bee. We get get those bugs in Summer but they are green.
Lots of hugs.

Happy Birthday to your young man.
Lots of lovely stitching to see in this post, your jar looks great, maybe some of us who did not stitch a lot should adopt the 'jar on its side' approach to make it look like more threads lol.

Oh you lucky lady - receiving one of Myra's heart coasters! ;0)
In 11 years time I will be coming to you to ask for 'teenage boy' advice, so please jot down any tips as you go along! Lol. I think I fear the 'teenage girl' years more though!
Love your stitching, especially PS Santa holding a pineapple (is it a pineapple? I'm doubting myself now!)

Oooo, I'm a little jealous you only got rain this weekend. My neck/back are still a little stiff from all the shoveling I did Saturday after 2+ feet of snow got dumped on us. lol

132 pounds! My goodness. He's almost the size of a pony. Heheh.

Love the stitching! I think the change from apple<-->Panzer was a great one.

I keep getting a 'tree bug' in the house here and there this winter and, ugh, I hates them. Hate all bugs but these are pretty big and YUCK. :(

Oh great, you received two wonderful gifts. The bag is just darling, and this little heart, so beautiful. while looking at it and wondering how it was made I remembered a magazine with this kind of hearts that I once bought but never touched after buying it. It will see the light of day tomorrow.
Congratulations on so many beautifuil finishes. You've been so busy!
Happy belated birthday to your son!

I cracked up over that picture of Panzer sitting on your son's lap. LOL He--and his boys--are just too cute. :) Happy birthday to your son! Mine will be 19 soon and is a great guy. I think one of the best things has been the times spent in the car schlepping him to school and various activities. It's amazing what they will say when they aren't directly facing you! Your stitching all looks great, such pretty pieces!

Glory be he's huge but love him under the tree! Yup, good luck! Gorgeous stitching and gifts!

A big belated Happy Birthday to your son! Wow...13!

I think I would have let out a good yelp if I have that beast inside my reading glasses...lol.

Panzer is hilarious trying to fit on someone's lap. But at his size, who is going to tell him otherwise...lol.

I am glad to see that you find stitching time at all with such a busy family life. You amaze me at how well you balance it all.

Hugs from Holland ~

Happy Birthday wishes to your son. The teenage years will never be dull!

Goodness but Panzer is one big fella! I think it would be difficult to move him off your lap if he felt he belonged there, lol.

I love all your recent stitching and the lovely gifts you've received too. Lucky you!
