Rolling!!!!

Things are on a roll!!  The heat~wave rolls on, which means I don't cook huge meals.  Sandwiches ~ ham, roast beef, hoagies, hot sausage with green peppers and onions, hamburgers, hot dogs ~ yep, all on rolls!

My middle guy's District team for Little League is on a roll ~ two wins and hoping for win number three tomorrow night!  The first win was celebrated with a teammate's family, complete with celebratory dessert.
Rolling on to the celebration of game two...at the ER....
While catching, the batter somehow managed to get the bat all the way around to the back of his head (the batter may have thrown the bat) ~ catching him just under the edge of his helmet.  Since he was in a bit of pain and it involved the head/spine, it was off to the ER to make sure he was okay.  Thankfully, all is good ~ we were both worried and this smile is after we were told that all the tests were good and they'd have us rolling back home shortly.

Panzer is starting to roll again, although it's a slow process.  He became confused again when the new neighbors moved in.  People were around, but there was no Joker.  We will be visiting his mother and one of his brothers tomorrow, and hopefully, they will have some good playtime.  He's rolling!

My teenager ~ well, he's rolled into a different creature this summer...sleeping in, hanging with friends, rolling his eyes...need I say more?
The little guy is training to participate in a triathlon and hanging with his buddies...here is a picture my friend took of him jumping into the Chesapeake Bay.  Doesn't it looks like he is skipping across the top of the water?

My stitching has been on a roll too!  The completed Pomegranate Study...
What an enjoyable piece to stitch.
I then rolled on over to Honeybee Hill by BBD.
Aren't the colors and the motifs great?  I'm hoping to have this one finished soon.

Oh, and when rolling down the highway this summer, watch out for this guy...
Kinda creepy, isn't he?

Here's hoping that things continue to roll on in a good way!

Your youngest DOES look like he's traveling on top of the water! Glad to hear the ER visit resulted in nothing to be worried about. Teenagers! If all you're getting is eye rolls (even with a little sass) you are fortunate indeed! Congrats on the finishes! Summer is flying by isn't it?

Keep your sense of humor....the kids will be kids doing what kids do for a lot of years! How long until he gets his learner's permit? I hate to say it, but you'll be wishing he was home either sleeping or rolling his eyes! It's not all bad, though.

That is a lot of rolling! So thankful you were able to roll out of the hospital without bad news, and that Panzer will have new friends even if no dog buddy lives there for him to roll with. Wish I had some of your roll dinners ready for the week!

Aww, poor Panzer. I still think of your sweet buddy and how confused he is.
So very, very glad your son is well.
Your stitching is very pretty.

Panzer is so adorable.

You don't have to say anymore about teenagers. I have one. ;)

Triathlon? Wow he is dedicated and good luck to him. Love the picture.

Happy dances for you on your completed Pomegranate Study.

Great photos! I'm glad your son is ok :D

I know what you mean about the teenager - I have one of my own who insists on testing my sanity on a daily basis! I don't know which I'd rather deal with, eye-rolling (which means she's actually listening) or her just ignoring me! Goodness, they can be a challenge!

I love your finish and your BBD piece. Both are wonderful! Ouch on the ER! Glad to hear all was well -- good that you checked it out to make sure! Hope Panzer settles in all right without his friend. Poor thing.

So glad your Son is OK, that must have been scary! Great stitching finishes, love the Pomegranate one. Sandwiches sounds great with this awful heat wave we are having! I don't go outside unless I have to.

Oh no, a moody teenager in the house. When does school start again? Heheh. Glad that Panzer is getting his groove back. :)

Darling finish, and the BBD piece is fabulous too.
So sorry that your son had to go to the ER. Oh, sports are a worry sometimes! I hope he has recovered okay.
Teenagers are a challenge. I have to say i never thought it would be as hard as it is. Good luck there!
I hope your summer continues to roll along. LOL. I love that theme throughout your post!

What a cute post, Catherine! I hope the rest of your summer keeps on rolling along as nicely as it has been (minus any more sports injuries, of course--so glad he's okay!).

Your finish is so pretty--really pretty colors and I like seeing your initials there :)

What IS that "thing" in the back of the truck--yikes!!

Rain keeps rolling here! Your guys are growing up so fast - so glad your son was okay. Sports can be dangerous, can't they. Lovely finish - you have been stitching away.

Teenagers! Been there, done that - you will all survive somehow! So glad that all is rolling along nicely in your neck of the woods.

Wow, a lot is going on at your place - as usual, lol. Good to read that the visit at the ER was without major consequences.
Great that you also find some time for stitching. What a lovely finished piece you have, I love all the reds in it. Your WIP is coming along great, I love it very much. When I wanted to add it to my wish list I realized that it's already on there, lol.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Rolling along is a good thing minus the ER. Thankfully all was okay. Sounds like you are in for the start of the puberty years...fun. :-)

Love the man in the truck which brought my thoughts to Halloween. Oh the thought of Halloween which mean autumn and cool temperatures. I will be glad to say goodbye to our summer's heatwave. It is not often that Holland gets this hot.

Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi who is going to have a stitchy day as that is the best way to handle the heat......
