A Shout Out and a Winner!

I know I said I would pick a winner of my birthday giveaway on Friday, but my schedule has been crazy.  Thursday evening was a big night for the boys.  It was the Cross-Over Ceremony for scouts.  My oldest is now completely finished with cub scouts and I am happy to say he is continuing on with the boy scouts.  He hopes to one day achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.  The younger guys moved up a rank for next year.  And finally, after 5 years, my husband has stepped down as the leader of the Pack  (do you all have that old song in your head now?) so he can move on to helping with the boy scouts.  Last night and today have been filled with baseball.

I want to share a link with you to a fairly new blogger.  You can find my friend, Jacki, over at A Whole Lotta Latte.  She started her blog in February and I just recently found out about it!  Please hop on over and give her a big warm welcome.  She has a smokin' needle and does some wonderful projects.

Have I kept you waiting long enough?  Okay then, there were 25 comments left on the giveaway post.  I plugged the numbers into the Random Generator and the number it spit back at me was 6.  Congratulations Margaret, you left the 6th comment!  Please shoot me an email with your address and I'll get to the post office as soon as I can!

With my crazy schedule, there has been little stitching. I have picked Jenny Bean Humble Servant back out of the WIP pile.  I'd really like to have it finished before the end of May, as my local LNS, the Strawberry Sampler, is having a May Framing Sale.  20% off, including the labor charge!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you find time to put needle to thread!

Sounds like you've been very busy! Congrats to your son for moving up to the boy scouts. Hope you can finish your JB Humble Servant sampler in time for the framing sale.

Congratulations to Margaret on the win!

Congratulations to your son on crossing over to boy scouts! I remember when my sons did that when they were young boys. My hubby moved up too to assistant scout leader. It is good father/son time for sure.

Thanks for commenting on my blog today!

Congrats to the winner.

I hear you on the busy schedule thing. When school is out we'll all breathe a little better and stitch a little more.

Congrats to Margaret! Live sounds busy these days. Congrats to your son for moving on in Scouts. My eldest worked his way right through and loved every minute of the years he spent in the organisation.

Yay for Margaret :) And yay for your son's cross-over ceremony, too. I'm sure he'll love his Boy Scout years. My oldest was an Eagle Scout--one of my proudest moments as a mom :)

Thanks for introducing Jacki's blog, too, Catherine!
