Tusal Post and Houses

Here is my offering for the second Tusal of July!  Not a whole lot of stitching this month.  Could it be the heat?  I am showing it next to an older piece I stitched back in 2000.  I do not remember the pattern or designer's name - but I'm sure if I dig through my old patterns that I still have this one.

I've decided to show some pieces that have houses on them.  The next two are from The City Stitcher.  One was stitched in 1996 and the other in 1997.  Very fun to stitch!  These patterns also lurk in the depths of my pattern cabinet somewhere!

The next three are by the Workbasket.  Two of the three were stitched in 1998 and the third in 2000.

Here they are all together on the wall, and yep...the patterns...in the cabinet somewhere!
Maybe I should stitch some more houses to fill up some of that wall space!

All of the pieces above are displayed in the dining room.  I have a couple of other pieces in there that don't contain houses, so I'll save them for another day.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my newest followers!  Have a stitchy week!!

Oh you know how I love samplers with houses! These are just wonderful! I don't think I've seen those smaller samplers, but I certainly like them. I've stitched the one with the alphabet in the trees. I think it was by City Stitcher. Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.

I love all your house samplers! So pretty, and all together too. Great display! I hear you on the heat. I couldn't stitch much when our a/c was broken. a/c is the saving grace.

I was eying some Workbasket charts yesterday. Shame on me. Any way love your pieces. City stitcher too. To hot for anything but sweating here.

Oh you know how I feel about samplers!
They are lovely.
I put about ten stitches in my WIP today and then promptly took a nap.

I LOVE anything with houses or alphabets on it! These are ALL wonderful. I would vote stitch more and do fill that wall. It would be a real delight to see it everyday.

I've been away and am just now catching up on my favorite blogs! Love all your houses, Catherine. I've always enjoyed stitching them, too. There is just something very comforting about a piece picturing a welcoming house!
