A little relief has come our way. We've had a break in the temperatures between heat waves and we've even had a touch of rain. It was nice, but we could still use a good day or two of soaking rains.
And, with a little relief in the baseball schedule, I have been able to stitch a bit more. I started a new project, "For the Birds" by ByGone Stitches. I am known for changing colors but with this palette, why would I do that?
The border is so pretty.
And the motifs so sweet.
I was saddened to learn that this designer has passed away back in May. Her designs are timeless and are sure to be stitched by many for years to come.
I finished the stitching on my friend's birthday gift.
Here you can see the fabric that I plan on using for the finishing-finish.
I have a couple ideas of how I would like to finish this, but haven't quite decided yet.
The Tusal jar for July.
A few more threads added!
Panzer is growing so fast! He's four and 1/2 months this week. At his last checkup, he had gained 20.2lbs. in 4 weeks!
I caught him here in mid~yawn.
Now he's looking for his boys.
He can hear them next door and is ready to play!
Isn't is amazing how quickly they become part of the family!?!
It's been fun and a challenge at the same time. Teaching not only him, but the boys as well. Getting them to see things through his eyes and how to read his language.
And with that, I will leave you with this.

Ok, I really didn't need to see that For the Birds WIP. The colors!!! The motifs! I love it! Shoot, I don't need another to buy another chart. lol! Beautiful so far! Love the present for your friend too -- very nice, and love the backing fabric you're planning on using. Panzer is adorable! Wow, 20 pounds in 4 weeks? He must eat a whole lot!! Your friend will be thrilled with the gift !!!
I hope you never have to lift Panzer...panting will be done on your side then instead of his...lol.
Glad you got some rain and cooler weather. In Holland, we finally had a week of summer but it is supposed to end this evening with thunderstorms and then back to cool and wet again from the weekend. I do not mind at all since I cannot get out when it is hot.
I love your sampler. Again one I had never seen since I am on this never ending stash diet. That is what I get for creating so many UFOs. I love this. And your little gift which I am looking forward to seeing how you finish off.
Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi
