The last few weeks have seen a few reasons to celebrate in our household.
Let's start with the Oscar party that my neighbor held. Just a few of us ladies, some cheese, crackers, strawberries, wine, and the ballots. Let's just say that when I left at 10:00, I had only picked two or three winners...I was way behind.
A few ladies had chosen 6 or 7 correct winners already. So, imagine my surprise, when my neighbor let me know that I had, in the end, chosen the most correct winners!! This is what was delivered to my door.
Whoo~hoo!
Now, the candy did not last long ~ the boys quickly got into that (yep, we'll just blame the boys for how fast the candy was eaten). But, I told them to back off ~ the $25 gift card for the movies ~ that is a date night for mom and dad!!
Secondly, I would like to say congratulations to my oldest for making the 7th grade baseball team!!
Let the fun begin...between their travel teams, little league starting back up, and now the school team, I am juggling practice and game schedules for three boys and six teams. I know, call me crazy....but, we are down one team from last year, so this should be easy...oh wait, my oldest will be playing on two travel teams, so we are still at 7...so much for being easy!
And finally, Panzer turned one year old this past Friday!!
Yes, he steals tissues straight from the box!
Here he is with all of his buddies...
Joker, the boxer, is a month older than Panzer. They have grown up together and are quite the buds.
He still has such a puppy face...
All that play leads to one tired pup...
And one of my recent favorites...in the past, when my husband took his yearly business trip, the boys would want to take turns sleeping on daddy's side of the bed and snuggle with me...it's not so much about me anymore...
I am late with this months tusal...there is a lot of fuzz, as the frogs have been sticking around..
Here is what I am working on now....a belated gift for my mom's birthday. She received some other stitching stash goodies, but I didn't get this done yet...
A big thank you to Jeanne from Hamilton House. She was giving away these goodies and I was the lucky recipient.
Thank you so much, Jeanne! Fabric and fibers are always welcome ~ and the booklets are great to look through while drinking my cup of tea! If you haven't been by Jeanne's blog ~ pop on over and visit.
This week, brought a surprise all the way from Holland! Heidi from Stitched Memories in Time, had asked me a while back if I owned a teapot. I thought she meant a real china teapot, and that I do not have ~ but I do drink tea! I didn't think anything else about it, until I opened the package and found these..
Six teacup coasters! They are perfect ~ and look how they match my mug!
I guess if I ever get a real teapot, I will have to place an order for the teapot cosy that she was originally going to make! Heidi is making it a goal to send rak's out each month this year ~ she is going to be creating many smiles! Thank you so much, Heidi! I love them and am grateful for your friendship. Like Jeanne, if you haven't been to visit Heidi, please do drop over. You will see some wonderful goodies!
Hopefully our weather will break soon. We have had so many grey, dreary days. I am ready for some warmer, sunnier spring weather.
Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you all find time this week to enjoy the things that bring a smile to your face..
And in the spirit of Heidi's gift, I will leave you with this...

Love all your goodies... you have been a lucky gal! Panzer has certainly secured his place in the family, hasn't he? LOL And you make me tired just thinking of juggling all those teams - wow! I know that your boys will look back fondly on all the time and attention you gave to their sports. Here's hoping Spring is right around the corner - blue skies, sunshine, play ball!
Hugs-
What a fun post! I got up because I couldn't sleep and left Woody taking up just about as much of the bed as Panzer does. I'll be looking forward to seeing your stitching projects for baseball season!

Hmmm...cheese, crackers, strawberries and wine you say? And you even won the contest?? Did you have a four leaf clover tucked in your pocket or something? Woo-hoo!!!!
Like CalamityJr, I got up because I couldn't sleep but it wasn't because of a dog. Somebody snores! UGH!!!
Good job to your oldest. That's awesome!
Poor pup, maybe he has allergies. That's too cute!
Oh what nice goodies you received. Love the oscar party one. Panzer is so sweet looking. Ready for warm here to! Good job to mom for maaging the baseball teams, lol. That is a lot!
Nice catch up post. Your schedule.....!!!!!! I am exhausted just thinking about it. My kids used to do the same thing when their dad had his one week of night work each month. Panzer! What an adorable face. Panzer is so cute.

Great gifts, good for you. =)
Lucky you. Nice winnings. Good luck with the baseball season. Phew. Makes me tired just thinking about it!
Panzer looks like such a wonderful dog. Does he really sleep on your bed?! He looks like he'd be a bed hog but keep your feet very warm!

Happy birthday Panzer!! What a happy guy.
Lovely update full of fun and lovely things.
Have a great week!
Happy Birthday to Panzer!
How funny that you won the Oscar giveaway after being behind. It sounds like a fun time!
Great post, Catherine :) I love your gifts...both won and received, those coasters are beyond gorgeous...we have such talented bloggie sisters!
Happy Birthday Panzer from Teagan and Leo (and their Ma and Pa)...yay you, big boy!
Congratulations to your 7th grade kiddo...give him a high five from the brothers...that is so awesome! The brothers were catchers in their day (of course the grimiest position) and DIL played 3rd base softball (she was known for her triple plays)...what would Mother's Day be without a travel game or perhaps 2? ;)
Whew, sorry, rambled a bit there :/
Your mom is gonna flip over her gift, you are such a sweet daughter.
Hopefully spring is arriving soon, not just on the calendar cuz these gray days are totally a bummer, but til then I'm sending sunny thoughts your way.
Hugs
Ma (and the gang)

Sounds like you have a lot to celebrate.

Teresa's Heartfelt Stitches
Lovely goodies, lovely photo's and a great post, hugs.
A fantastic post Catherine! Panzer looks SOOOO cute in the second photograph. How can you resist eyes like his?!
Wow, lucky you with all your prizes. Despite having 'Raffle' as a surname I rarely win anything! :0)
Happy birthday Panzer!!...
Lovely update full of fun and lovely things...
Have a great week xxx
OH I do love those doggie pictures. You are going to be baseball crazy! Congrats on your win.
Looks like your household has been filled with lots of good times lately, Catherine! Congratulations on the giveaway win as well as the candy and movie gift card--well done :)
And a big birthday greeting to Panzer--he is having such fun with his doggie pals. I love watching dogs play together--they're so joyful!
I'm sure you'll be spending countless hours at the ballpark--hope you can squeeze in some stitching time at practices at least :)
Wonderful post ;)
I am so glad I was able to surprise you and make you smile. That is a gift to myself in making another happy. :-) You see...I smile too.
What a fun idea to have an Oscars party. Congratulations on being the winner.
Happy birthday to Panzer! My goodness but he is one hunk of a dog. How do you fit into a bed with his and two sons? Lol!
Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi
A great prize from your neighbour, enjoy your 'date' with DH.
I'm a regular at Heidi's blog, she creates such lovely things, those little coasters are lovely and so useful, another lovely win too from Jeanne.
Happy Birthday Panzer and congrats to your son.
The Oscar party sounds like it was a lot of fun. Happy Birthday to Panzer! He is a handsome fella!! Lovely wins too! Those coasters are so sweet of Heidi to send to you!
Congrats to your son and on your gifts.
How can you tell Panzer off when he looks at you with those e
yes.
Our first Rottie Nic was best friends with a Boxer called Ted.And DS and DD were always dressing him up and sleeping on him.And Jake always liked having a blanket.
Lovely goodies! Panzer is too cute for words too.
What an awesome little party!! It's a great idea. Hope you get to see something good with the gift card. (Seems like everything that is out now is BLEH.)
Congrats to your oldest for making the team and Panzer on his birthday. :)
The coasters are quite adorable. I drink tea everyday and have to admit I don't have a 'real' teapot either. I use an electric one instead. Very unpretty. lol
WOW! Lots of celebrating in your house and good reasons to as well.
Big congratulations to your Son, I bet his well chuffed, you as well.
I loved all your pictures especially the one of the children and Panzer asleep on the bed ~ just so cute!
Lovely goodies you received in the mail ~ enjoy xxx
Sounds like lots of fun at your home. Congrats to your son! Love all your goodies-they can just brighten ones day!
What a fun way to spend an evening! Congratulations on your win. Such a cute photo of Panzer with the tissue! The dogs look like they are having a great time. Yeah, one of my coworkers is doing the same thing with her kids - I do not envy either of you.
You DON'T have a real teapot? I'm fainting here at the news! As a child of British parents I know the importance of a proper teapot. Tea is just NOT made in a mug that is wrong and improper and will knock the Earth off of its axis and put us into permanent winter! Oh my you're missing what a true cup of tea tastes like, its an art! Would you believe if someone offers me a tea bag in a cup of hot water I'd rather turn it down?
Certainly lots of fun happening in your house, Catherine. I love the idea of the Oscar party with prizes! Lovely pics of Panzer with his mates - human and canine!
I love your stitching and your dogs ;-)
Grit from Germany
What a great idea for a party!
Your dogs are huge...mine is a 6.5# yorkie that sleeps in our bed without taking up any room. Such a cute picture of you boys.
You new coasters look wonderful with you mug.
What fun an Oscar party would be! Congrats on the fun win. Sophie and Gracie wish Panzer a very happy birthday (as do I). He's such a handsome fellow, I'm sure they'd fall madly in love if they ever met.
What great gifties and prizes you've gotten recently and the stitch for your mom looks lovely!
Sounds like a BLAST!
Great pics of the dogs and the sleepy ones after the fun.
